Family Music

In our family, not only do each of us play one or more instruments, but we play them together as a band! Lauren and Dad on the fiddle, Mom and Jason on the guitar, myself, (Maryjo) on the piano, and sometimes, as a treat, Lauren and/or I step-dancing.  We have played at many local events, and enjoy every minute of it.  Lauren recently played at the Tavistock Fiddle and Step-Dance Competition and is the South-Western Ontario 9 & Under Fiddle Camp for 2001.    Jason just started guitar three years ago, and he goes back and forth between acoustic, electric and bass.  Dad and Mom both also share this wonder talent, performing for fun.  I (Maryjo) have completed  up to my Grade 6 Piano Exam, and am ready to begin Grade 8.  Lauren and I have been taking step-dancing since October 2000,  and started again this September. Most of our performances are local, our latest one was at the International Plowing Match.  We had a blast!  Altogether, we play wonderful old-time fiddle music, and just have a good time.
